Is seeing Allah the Exalted in a dream established for the prophets?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Regarding seeing Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) in a dream: Is it established for the prophets (peace and blessings be upon them)?

Answer:
The Shaykh Taqi al-Din Ibn Taymiyyah mentioned that the Prophet may see either light or speech, for Allah does not resemble His creation (Glorified and Exalted is He).
Q: And what about Musa and 'Isa (peace be upon them both)?
A: Allah knows best; nothing has reached us.
Q: Is the vision considered specific to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)?
A: No, even the Prophet did not see his Lord. When he was asked, he said:
I saw a light, a light, how could I see it?رأيتُ نورًا، نورٌ أنَّى أراه
, and the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
And know that none of you will see his Lord until he dies.واعلموا أنه لن يرى أحدُكم ربَّه حتى يموت
. So the vision is in the Hereafter; the believers will see Him on the Day of Resurrection, and they will see Him in Paradise, but in this world, no.
Q: And what about the vision in a dream?
A: As for the dream vision, it does occur.
