The Ruling on Seeing Allah (Mighty and Majestic) in a Dream

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question: ........ ؟

Answer:
This is specific to Him. Seeing the Lord in a dream may occur for others as well. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saw his Lord in a dream. … Seeing in dreams is broad, but it may be an illusion to him, and it is not his Lord. He does not know; he may not be certain that it is his Lord. However, it is possible for him to see his Lord in a dream in the manner befitting Allah (Exalted is He), but usually he does not know, because he has no knowledge that this is his Lord, (Exalted and Majestic is He).
As for the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), he knows. The visions of the prophets are revelation (may Allah send prayers and peace upon them), unlike the others. One may see his Lord, but he does not know. It may be said to him: "I am your Lord," but he does not know due to a lack of knowledge and insight. This is because he only realizes that he saw his Lord if he had seen him before to recognize him. As for … if they see something and are informed of it, it is revelation from Allah, (Exalted and Majestic is He).
