What is the ruling on establishing congregational prayer for travelers in a mosque that has a regular imam?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : ... We perform it. Our brothers perform it. When we are traveling, we stop at some mosques along the way that have a regular imam who prays with the Maghrib prayer, or combines the Dhuhr with the Asr, or the Maghrib with the Isha. After the imam finishes the Dhuhr or Asr prayer, we separate from him and then we establish the prayer. Is this action prescribed?

The Shaykh : If by "prescribed" you mean "permissible."

The questioner : Yes, it is permissible.

The Shaykh : So we say it is permissible, on the condition that it does not lead to establishing a second congregation for the people of the neighborhood.

The questioner : Yes, may Allah reward you with good.

The Shaykh : And to you.

The questioner : The statement of the jurists that it is a condition that the imam be one in the combining of prayers is not a correct statement.

The Shaykh : No, it is not a condition.

The questioner : May Allah reward you with good.

The questioner : Our Shaykh, regarding the one who joins the funeral prayer late, if he knows, for example, that this is the second takbir, the answer is the same as the previous one.
