If two partners agree on a project, but one of them conditions a right for himself and denies it to the other, for example by saying

The questioner : Two partners agreed to establish a specific company or execute any project, but one of them conditioned a right for himself and denied it to the other, as if he were to say, for example, “I have the right to withdraw from the project whenever I wish, and the second party is not allowed to withdraw from the project whenever he wishes.” Is the contract thereby invalid?

The Shaykh : No, the contract is valid and the condition is invalid.
