The Time of Acceptance: General and Specific

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : We mentioned that the time of acceptance, or the time when acceptance is missed, is both general and specific.

The questioner : The general one is the rising of the sun from its west.

The Shaykh : Why are you pointing to the east?

The questioner : This is the general one.

The Shaykh : The rising of the sun is a sign.

The questioner : From its west.

The Shaykh : The rising of the sun from its west, because when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
When the night approaches from here, he pointed to the east, and the day departs from here, he pointed to the west.
You are saying the sun rises from its west and pointing to the east; this is not correct. Now, what is the evidence that repentance is missed by the rising of the sun from its west?

The questioner : ... .

The Shaykh :
no soul will benefit from its faith as long as it had not believed before or had earned through its faith some good
[Al-An'am 6:158]
And what is the indication from this verse? Because it contains no mention of the sun or anything else, for the intended meaning of His saying:
The Day that some of the signs of your Lord
[Al-An'am 6:158]
.

The questioner : The rising of the sun from its west.

The Shaykh : Who said that this is the intended meaning? Who said it? Who interpreted it in that way? The second type is specific. What is it? Yes?

The questioner : When the soul reaches the throat.

The Shaykh : When the appointed time arrives.

The questioner : When the soul reaches the throat...

The Shaykh : And in the Qur'an.

The questioner :
when the soul at death reaches the throat
[Al-Waqi'ah 56:83]
.

The Shaykh : No, what is this? Rest.

The questioner : The saying of Allah the Exalted:
But repentance is not [accepted] of those who [continue to] do evil deeds
[An-Nisa 4:18]
.

The Shaykh :
(17) The repentance accepted by Allah is only for those who do wrong in ignorance [or carelessness] and then repent soon after. It is those to whom Allah will turn in forgiveness, and Allah is ever Knowing and Wise. (18) But repentance is not [accepted] of those who [continue to] do evil deeds up until, when death comes to one of them, he says, "Indeed, I have repented now," or of those who die while they are disbelievers. For them We have prepared a painful punishment.
[An-Nisa 4:17-18]
Do you agree with this? Good, rest.
