The first question of Fatwa number ( 17332 )
Q 1: Is there a specific time for the Friday prayer other than the time of the midday prayer?
A 1: The time when the Friday prayer becomes obligatory is the time of the midday prayer, according to the correct opinion of the scholars. It begins with the passing of the sun from its zenith and ends with the onset of the time for the afternoon prayer. This is based on the established practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), who used to pray the Friday prayer at the time of the midday prayer. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
