That repentance be made in the time when repentance is accepted.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Now, the fifth condition: that repentance be made in the time when repentance is accepted. What is the time when repentance is accepted? It is before the arrival of death for each individual, and before the sun rises from the west for the general public. So if a person does not repent until death overtakes him, his repentance is not accepted, due to the saying of Allah the Exalted:
But repentance is not [accepted] of those who [continue to] do evil deeds up until, when death comes to one of them, he says, "Indeed, I have repented now," وليست التوبة للذين يعملون السيئات حتى إذا حضر أحدهم الموت قال إن تبت الآن
[An-Nisa 4:18]
This will not benefit him. Pharaoh repented when the drowning seized him, but was his repentance accepted? No, it was said to him:
Now? And you had disobeyed [Him] before and were of the corrupters? آلآن وقد عصيت قبل وكنت من المفسدين
[Yunus 10:91]
.
Now, when will the sun rise from the west? In the end times, the sun currently rises from the east and sets in the west every day. When the time approaches, Allah the Exalted will command it to return, and it will come out from the west. When people see it, they will all believe; the disbelievers will become Muslims, and the sinners will become righteous. So whoever does not have a repentance before the sun rises from the west, it will not benefit him.
