The questioner says: O honorable Shaykh, a person may have a salary at one of the banks, and he comes to cash that check, but a few halalas remain. Is it permissible to leave those halalas, or is it necessary to take them, and if he leaves them, is he assisting in riba?
The Shaykh : First: Before we answer this question, we ask: Is placing money in banks lawful or not? We say: If a person needs to place it, there is no harm, because banks do not deal in riba 100%; rather, their dealings are both ribawi and non-ribawi. So if a person needs to place it in the bank, there is no blame on him, but he must never take riba from them, no matter what the situation is, due to the saying of Allah the Exalted:[Al-Baqarah 2:278-279].
Yes.

(278) O you who have believed, fear Allah and give up what remains [due to you] of interest, if you should be believers. (279) And if you do not, then be informed of a war [against you] from Allah and His Messenger. But if you repent, you may have your principal - [thus] you do no wrong, nor are you wronged.
