What is the ruling on saying: "There is no modesty in religion"?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : What is the ruling on saying: "There is no modesty in religion"?

The Shaykh : As for the saying "There is no modesty in religion", it is better to say: "Allah does not shy away from the truth," just as Umm Salim (may Allah be pleased with her) said:
Messenger of God, God is not ashamed of the truth. Is any washing necessary for a woman when she has a sexual dream? يا رسول الله ! إن الله لا يستحيي من الحق، فهل على المرأة من غسل إذا هي احتلمت ؟
Mishkat al-Masabih 433, 434
As for "There is no modesty in religion", this suggests a defective meaning, because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Modesty is part of faithالحياء من الإيمان
So modesty in religion is part of faith. However, the intention of those who say: "There is no modesty in religion" is that there is no modesty in matters of religion, meaning: in asking about a matter from which one feels shy. It is said: If this is the intended meaning, then it is better to say: "Allah does not shy away from the truth." Yes.
