The Meaning of the Saying of Allah the Exalted: ((So let man look from what he was created...))
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh :[At-Tariq 86:4-5]. The lam in His saying: is the lam of command; it is a command, a command from Allah that we look at what we were created from. And He answered: [At-Tariq 86:6-7]. And it is the water of the man. So man is created from the water of the man which comes out from between the backbone and the ribs. As for how it comes out? That is for Allah (Mighty and Majestic). But we know and believe that this water comes out from between the backbone and the ribs. And some scholars imagined and said: The meaning is between the backbone of the man and the ribs of the woman. And this is an error, because what comes out from between the backbone, which comes out from the man, is not what comes out from the woman. What comes out from the man is a gushing water. And as for from the woman, it is not. And Allah the Exalted only mentioned one water, and it is the water of whom? The water of the man, because it is the gushing water. So the formation of man is from the water of the man. But Allah the Exalted made a place for this water [Al-Mu'minun 23:13]. This place is the womb of the woman in which are the eggs that embrace the water of the man until it becomes a fetus by the permission of Allah.
He: that is the Lord (Mighty and Majestic). That is upon the return of man. And that is on the Day of Resurrection, He is Able, because the One who is able to create the first creation is able to return it. As Allah the Exalted said: [Al-Anbya 21:104]. And He said the Exalted: [Ar-Rum 30:27]. So the pronoun refers to whom? Answer, everyone. To Allah. The pronoun in "His return" refers to whom? To man. Meaning that Allah is able upon the return of man. And reflect upon the saying of Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He): [Ya-Sin 36:51-52]. It is said to them: [Ya-Sin 36:52-53]. Glory be to Allah! One shout, by which Allah commands them to come out of the graves alive, and they come out alive. [Ya-Sin 36:53].
