The questioner : Is it permissible to seek healing with some of the verses of the Noble Qur'an? If so, how is this healing performed? And what is the method? And is seeking healing with the Qur'an for all types of illnesses, or for a specific illness? If so, what is it? Please guide us. May Allah reward you.
The Shaykh : Yes, it is permissible to seek healing with the Great Qur'an, for Allah (Mighty and Majestic) says:[Al-Isra 17:82] And the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would recite the two Mu'awwidhat and seek refuge with them, and he said: Sunan Abi Dawud 1463Sahih (Al-Albani) So one recites over the sick person the verses appropriate to his illness, such as reciting to settle the illness and pain: [Al-An'am 6:13] And he recites: [An-Naml 27:62] or similar verses that are appropriate. And he also recites al-Fatihah, for the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) mentioned that it is a ruqyah (healing by Qur'anic recitation) with which the sick person and the one bitten by a venomous creature are healed, and they benefit from it by the permission of Allah. But it must be known that the Qur'an itself is healing and medicine, but it is according to the reciter and according to the one over whom it is recited, because the qualification of the doer and the receptivity of the place are necessary, otherwise the matter is not completed. The doer must be qualified for the action, and the place must be receptive to it. So if one of the people recites with the Qur'an while he is heedless or doubtful about its benefit, then the sick person does not benefit from it. And if the Qur'an is recited over the sick person and the sick person is doubtful about its benefit, then he does not benefit from it. So it is necessary that there be faith from the reciter and the one over whom it is recited that it is beneficial. If this is done with faith from both the reciter and the one over whom it is recited, then they benefit from it.

The Shaykh : Yes, it is permissible to seek healing with the Great Qur'an, for Allah (Mighty and Majestic) says:
And We send down of the Qur'an that which is healing and mercy for the believers
