Is it permissible for a woman to work in offices if this work is in the office of religious affairs and endowments?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Is it permissible for a woman to work in offices if this work is in the office of religious affairs and endowments?

The Shaykh : A woman’s work in offices does not escape two situations:
The first situation is that the offices are exclusively for women, such as a women’s office for directing girls’ schools or something similar, where no men are present. In that case, there is nothing wrong with her working in that office.
As for the case where the office involves the mixing of men and women, which is the second situation, it is not permissible for a woman to work in a job where a man is her partner and they are in the same place. This is due to the fitnah (trial, discord or temptation) that arises from the mixing of women and men. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) warned his ummah (the Muslim community) about the fitnah of women and informed
that he left behind no fitnah more harmful to men than it أنه ما ترك بعده فتنة أضر على الرجال منها
Even in places of worship, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) encouraged women to be distant from men, as in his saying (peace and blessings be upon him):
the best of the women’s rows is the last and the worst of them is the first خير صفوف النساء آخرها وشرها أولها
Sunan Abi Dawud 678Sahih (Al-Albani)
because the front rows are closest to the men, so they are the worst, and the back rows are farthest from the men, so they are the best. This is clear evidence that the Lawgiver considers the distance of women from mixing with men. Whoever reflects on the conditions of nations will realize that the mixing of women and men is a great fitnah from which they continue to suffer, but they cannot escape it now; the tear has widened beyond the mender’s ability to fix it.
