The questioner : The listener to the program says in this question that she is a married girl and her husband’s mother has married a man other than her father, and she says that she uncovers her face for him and kisses him. Is this forbidden? We ask for guidance?

The Shaykh : Yes. This married woman is not permitted to uncover her face except for her husband’s father and his grandfather. As for the husband of her husband’s second mother whom she mentioned,

The questioner : Yes.

The Shaykh : it is not permissible for her to uncover her face for him because he is not one of her mahram (relatives one may not marry). And if it is not permissible for her to uncover her face for him, then it is not permissible for her to kiss him, a fortiori.
On this occasion, or by this occasion, I would like to say that the forbidden relatives by marriage are four: they are the wives of the sons, however far down the line, and the wives of the fathers, however far up the line, and the mothers of the wives. For these three, the prohibition is established by the mere contract. As for the daughters of the wife, they are mahram (relatives one may not marry) for the husband on the condition that he has had intercourse with their mother, meaning he has consummated the marriage with her.
Thus, the ancestors of the husband and his descendants are mahram (relatives one may not marry) for the wife by the mere contract. And the ancestors of the wife, who are her mothers, are mahram (relatives one may not marry) for the husband by the mere contract. As for the descendants of the wife, who are her daughters, they are not mahram (relatives one may not marry) unless he has had intercourse with their mother by the contract. Yes.
