Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : What is the authenticity of this hadith, O honorable Shaykh?
Umrah during Ramadan is equal to Hajj عمرة في رمضان تعدل حجة معي
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 939Sahih (Darussalam)
Is this hadith authentic?

The Shaykh : Yes, this hadith was narrated by Muslim in his “Sahih” in two wordings, one of which is:
Umrah during Ramadan is equal to Hajj عمرة في رمضان تعدل حجة
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 939Sahih (Darussalam)
and the other is:
Umrah during Ramadan is equal to Hajj عمرة في رمضان تعدل حجة معي
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 939Sahih (Darussalam)
This is evidence that an ‘Umrah in Ramadan has a special merit over an ‘Umrah in other months. So if a person goes to Makkah in Ramadan, enters the state of ihram for ‘Umrah, and performs it, he will attain the reward mentioned by the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). Yes.

The questioner : May Allah reward you, O honorable Shaykh, and may Allah bless you.
