How to face the qiblah in an airplane.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Now, if a person is in an airplane and the time for the obligatory prayer arrives, how does he face the qiblah?
We say: If he is in an airplane and the time for the obligatory prayer arrives, and it is possible for him to perform the obligatory prayer facing the qiblah, he stands for the standing, bows for the bowing, and prostrates for the prostration, so let him pray in the airplane, and there is no blame on him.
As for if he is unable to face the qiblah, and unable to stand, bow, or prostrate, then he does not pray the obligatory prayer, unless he fears missing the time.
As for if he does not fear missing the time, let him wait until he lands and pray the obligatory prayer on the ground.
And the voluntary prayer? Does he pray it in the airplane?
Yes, the voluntary prayer is prayed in the airplane, because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)
and he would perform Salat while on his mount, whichever direction it was facing. كان يصلي على راحلته حيثما ما توجهت به
