How does a traveler perform the prayer on an airplane?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
If a man boards the airplane before the time for prayer enters, and while he is on the airplane the time for prayer enters, what is the manner and method by which he prays on the airplane?

Answer:
As mentioned previously: if it is possible to wait until he lands and he prays within the time, he waits; so that he performs the obligatory prayer in its proper legal form. However, if that is not feasible, he prays according to his circumstances:
So fear Allah as much as you are ableفَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُمْ
[Al-Taghabun:16]. He prays toward the qiblah and turns with the airplane during the obligatory prayer. As for the voluntary prayer, he prays according to his circumstances, praying in the direction of the airplane's movement for the voluntary prayer. As for the obligatory prayer, he must turn with the qiblah, praying toward the qiblah and turning with the airplane. He bows and prostrates in the air, and his prostration must be lower than his bowing.
