The harm of a Muslim residing in the lands of disbelievers upon himself and his children.

The Shaykh : Therefore, I say that the one who resides in the lands of disbelief will undoubtedly be affected by their morals, their customs, and their traditions. This is if his children, his wife, and his daughters are spared from being affected by the morals. They are undoubtedly more susceptible to influence than the elder, because this elder has become hardened, either in good or in evil. As for the offspring, they are soft and pliable, and they may be influenced. This is very well known in America. There are people there whose fathers are Muslims, but they themselves have become disbelievers over time. Therefore, , and it is not permissible for a Muslim to prefer settling in the lands of disbelief under any pretext, except if the lands of Islam have all become narrow and he is not permitted to settle in any part of them. In that case, we tell you to follow the example of the first emigrants who migrated from Makkah to Abyssinia, the first migration and the second migration. But they did not migrate to Persia or Rome. Likewise, we say today that the Muslim who is expelled from all Islamic states—and this is what I consider unlikely—should choose a disbelieving state, but one whose evil is less than the evil of the state of the Jews or the Americans, who are Jews, and the like of other states. Yes.
The student : In our time, in this era, the situation is that he did not find a state among the lands of the Muslims.

The Shaykh : Therefore, I say what I say, but it is not permissible for this person who finds an excuse because he was not accepted to go and settle in America, while he knows that America is with the Jews, or for example, Britain is with the Jews.
The student : They need to hand over America now to his state.

The Shaykh : Perhaps they will hand it over. The important thing is that in some countries, the religious freedom for Muslims is better than in many other countries, such as Belgium, for example, or the Netherlands. Because these are small states, and they have adopted what is called today a degree of democracy, so they have recognized the Islamic Shari'ah and granted them their rights. These are better than the other countries. And this is what comes to mind as an answer to that question. Glory be to You, O Allah, and praise be to You. I bear witness that there is no deity but You. I seek Your forgiveness and I repent to You. It seems that you are lingering longer than necessary, and you were here for the whole hour.
