The student : ... May Allah bless you. We call upon every Muslim brother who has the ability to write to contribute in this field, because this school is large and widespread, and it is currently given the advantages and encouragement that qualify it to confront us significantly. That is, they have great capabilities, they have much money, and they have institutions. Second, I was careful not to mention many names in the book regarding the artistic issue, meaning I did not want to confuse the reader with names. I wanted these three names to be models for studying the methodology of the people of the Sunnah and the community. So I presented the Islamic methodology in contrast to two other methodologies. The other two are false philosophical methodologies: the methodology of rational philosophy and the methodology of material philosophy. The methodology of rational philosophy has taken many studies from Muslim scholars, both past and present. As for material philosophy, there are indeed many principles in addressing these issues, because they require studying the Western heritage, contemporary philosophy and its dimensions, and how they distort humanity through ... .
Another student: Peace be upon you.

The Shaykh: And upon you peace.
The student : They bring corrupt sciences into our lands and call them by attractive names, such as the human sciences. The human sciences include psychology, philosophy, and sociology, and these are invalid because they are based on a material starting point and concepts ... So humanity is now in a state of confusion and disorder because it follows philosophy. And I must have pointed out in the book to an important point: refuting the law of philosophy. The law of philosophy they relied upon is the law of the hierarchy of existence. The example of the law of the hierarchy of existence is well known and famous: if a person makes something and then gives it a name, if people differ about this thing, they return to the thing they made. This is normal and can be accepted in things we make and things we know. But when the matter concerns the vast creation of Allah, if Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) tells us, we do not say to Him, "We will wait until we return to that thing or to reality."
Another student: Perhaps we should say "we speak" and not "we tell."
The student : Yes, that is right. May Allah reward you with all good.
Another student: And you likewise.
The student : That is, if Allah tells us in the noble Qur'an in a verse, we say that Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) is the truth, and we do not return to anything else in contrast to it.
Another student: Our Shaykh, truly, to confirm the words of the noble brother just now, for example, Sudan, which is called the Islamic state, and so on.

The Shaykh: Yes.
The student : Its main thinker, and as is said, the engine of its movement, is al-Turabi. In fact, he does not go beyond this scope; he does not go beyond this framework. He exports his thought as Islamic thought, liberated thought, and the thought of the renaissance of the nation.

The Shaykh : Herein lies the danger.
The student : Ah, by Allah, there is no power and no strength except with Allah. And likewise, the International Institute of Islamic Thought in America is also now conducting continuous studies, as the noble brother mentioned, with great momentum, all publishing these ideas in the name of Islam.

The Shaykh : And among the effects of this is Muhammad al-Ghazali.
The student : Al-Ghazali and these people, there is no power and no strength except with Allah. It is in fact a distortion of Islam, a distortion of Islam.
