The questioner : So I sought guidance from Allah (Mighty and Majestic) three days ago.

The Shaykh : Yes.

The questioner : So I don't know, meaning from the moment I met her, from the moment I met her, truly, I felt at ease with her.

The Shaykh : Yes.

The questioner : And after the prayer of seeking guidance, I also found the same comfort.

The Shaykh : Yes.

The questioner : So I don't know if the comfort is due to the prayer of seeking guidance or due to my haste regarding the matter of marriage, I don't know what is correct.

The Shaykh : And you are burdened with all this philosophy.

The questioner : No, my Shaykh.

The Shaykh : What do you want with this philosophy
If anyone of you is deliberating about a decision he has to make, then let him pray two Rak’ah of non- obligatory prayer, then say: Allahumma inni astakhiruka إذا هَمَّ أحدكم بالأمر فليصلِّ لله ركعتين من غير الفريضة ، ثم ليقُلْ : اللهمَّ إنِّي أستخيرك

And I seek Your power by Your ability, and I ask You of Your great bounty; for You know and I do not know, and You have power and I do not have power, and You are the Knower of the unseen. O Allah, if You know that this matter وأستقدرك بقدرتك ، وأسألك من فضلك العظيم ؛ فإنك تعلم ولا أعلم ، وتقدر ولا أقدر ، وأنت علَّام الغيوب ، اللهم إن كنت تعلم أن هذا الأمر
That is: this marriage
khairun li fi dini wa ma'ashi wa 'aqibati `Amri خيرٌ لي في ديني ، ومعاشي ، وعاقبة أمري
