The Punishment of Those Who Withhold Zakah.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : These withholders, who prevent what Allah has made obligatory upon them in their wealth—and the most important of which is zakah—will be punished with bodily punishment and punishment of the heart.
The bodily punishment is that their foreheads, their sides, and their backs will be branded with it.
The punishment of the heart is that it will be said to them:
This is what you hoarded for yourselves, so taste what you used to hoard." هذا ما كنزتم لأنفسكم فذوقوا ما كنتم تكنزون
[At-Tawbah 9:35]
.
So the rebuke and the self-reproach certainly hurt the heart and hurt the soul. They will be punished for it—may Allah protect us from that—for withholding what is obligatory upon them in their wealth, both outwardly and inwardly.
His saying:
seared therewith will be their foreheads, their flanks, and their backs تكوى بها جباههم وجنوبهم وظهورهم
[At-Tawbah 9:35]
.
How many sides are branded?
The student: Three.

The Shaykh : Four: their foreheads and their sides. How many sides are there?
The student: Two.

The Shaykh : Two, and their backs. So they will be branded on every side, may Allah protect us from that, because they withheld what Allah made obligatory upon them in it.
