Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : All right, if you ask this poor man for ten thousand riyals and someone else asks him for it as well, and you have zakah of ten thousand riyals, is it permissible to give this poor man from your zakah so that he can pay off his debt? The answer is yes, it is permissible. If you want to do good to this poor man, give him from your zakah, and he will dispose of it as he sees fit: he may pay you, or he may pay Zayd, or 'Umar, or whoever has a claim on him.
