The Meaning of His Saying, “A Decree from Allah, and Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise”

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : These categories that Allah (Mighty and Majestic) mentioned must be the recipients of zakah, due to His saying:
an obligation [imposed] by Allah. And Allah is Knowing and Wise. فريضة من الله والله عليم حكيم
[At-Tawbah 9:60]
The conclusion of the verse with knowledge and wisdom is evidence that there is no room for personal opinion in this matter, and that Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) has divided it in a manner necessitated by His wisdom, which encompasses knowledge. This is similar to His saying in the verse of inheritance regarding the ancestors and descendants:
Allah instructs you concerning your children: for the male, what is equal to the share of two females يوصيكم الله في أولادكم للذكر مثل حظ الأنثيين
[An-Nisa 4:11]
Then He said:
And for one's parents, to each one of them is a sixth ولأبويه لكل واحد منهم السدس
[An-Nisa 4:11]
regarding your children, who are the descendants, and your parents, who are the ancestors. Then He said after that:
Your parents or your children - you know not which of them are nearest to you in benefit. [These shares are] an obligation [imposed] by Allah. Indeed, Allah is ever Knowing and Wise. أبائكم وأبنائكم لا تدرون أيهم أقرب لكم نفعا فريضة من الله إن الله كان عليم حكيم
[An-Nisa 4:11]
As long as it is a decree from Allah, who decreed it based on knowledge and wisdom, there is no room for personal opinion in it. No one can use their opinion to prefer what contradicts the division of Allah (Mighty and Majestic) in inheritance, nor can they use their opinion to prefer what contradicts the categories to which Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) commanded that zakah be distributed. This is what pertains to zakah. I think we have a little time left.
