A woman who was breastfed by a woman belonging to a man, and she had children from him, then married another man after him and bore children from him; are the children from the latter considered brothers of the woman who was breastfed?

The questioner : A woman who was breastfed by a woman belonging to a man, and she had children from him, then married another man after him and bore children from him; are the children from the latter considered brothers of the woman who was breastfed?

The Shaykh : Do you not know that milk, as they say, is for the man? The answer is yes. The one who caused the first breastfeeding is not the woman, but the husband. And the husband married another wife... there is breastfeeding in that.

The questioner : That same woman married another man. Are the children of the other man brothers to the first ones?

The Shaykh : The woman married another husband. I understood the opposite: that the husband married another woman!

The questioner : Is this an additional benefit?

The Shaykh : No, it seems that there is a prohibition in it!

The questioner : The cause is the milk.

The Shaykh : It is this.
