Is it permissible for a son to take money from his father if the son knows that the father earned this money through riba (usury or interest)?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Is it permissible for a son to take money from his father if he knows that his father earned this money through riba (usury or interest)?

The Shaykh : If the question intends that he take what he does not need, then there is no disagreement that it is not permissible for him to do so. However, if the son is living with his father under his care and protection, and he is eating from his father's money which he earns through a forbidden means, then it is permissible for him if he keeps in mind that he will get rid of this money at the earliest time that becomes easy for him. This falls under the category of dire necessity, and his life under his father's protection is permissible; otherwise, it is not.

The questioner : ... .

The Shaykh : I ask Allah to protect us from the devils of mankind and the jinn.
