Does the ruling prohibiting speech after the Isha prayer apply to women after the men have prayed in the mosques, or after they have prayed in their homes?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Well, Shaykh, we know that after the Isha prayer, a person is not supposed to talk; that is, he must sleep. We women are at home, and the prayer is established in the mosques for the men, so they pray and finish their prayer. But we are at home, and we pray at a later time than the mosque, for example. So, does that mean we must not talk after the men have prayed in the mosques, or after the obligatory prayer?

The Shaykh: My sister, the issue of speech not being permissible after Isha has no basis in the specific manner and explicitness with which you are stating it. Everything that came in the Sunnah is that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "He forbade lingering and staying up late after the Isha prayer." As for conversation and speech, it depends on the nature of the speech, as he (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
And whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, then let him say what is good or remain silent. مَن كان يؤمن بالله واليوم الآخر فليقُلْ خيرًا أو ليصمت
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2500Sahih (Darussalam)
. This is a manner of conduct that encompasses all days and times. Therefore, speech after the adhan is not prohibited as speech, but it is prohibited under two conditions: first, that it be contrary to the Shari'ah, and second, that it lead to staying up late and lingering, which may prevent the one staying up and the one lingering from being able to get up to perform the Fajr prayer at its time. Therefore, it came in the Sunnah that "the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would sometimes linger" in teaching his Companions. So, if the lingering is, for example, in knowledge, then it is permissible. And if the lingering is in permissible speech, then it is permissible with the condition mentioned earlier, which is that the permissible lingering does not lead to missing the performance of the prayer at its time, namely the Fajr prayer. With this, the answer ends, and peace be upon you.

The Shaykh: Yes, in a car parked on the road.
The student: Glory be to Allah, I am.

The Shaykh: And here is the key, if you want it.
