What is the ruling on the Hajj of one who stood at 'Arafah in a state of major ritual impurity and did not perform the full ritual bath until the day of the festival?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : A questioner says: A person performed Hajj a few years ago, and on the night of 'Arafah he experienced a wet dream. He stood at 'Arafah in a state of major ritual impurity and did not perform the full ritual bath until the day of the festival. What is the ruling on his Hajj? Please inform us. May Allah reward you with good.

The Shaykh : His Hajj is valid, because none of the rites of Hajj require ritual purity, except for the circumambulation of the Ka'bah, regarding which there is scholarly disagreement. However, menstruation absolutely prevents circumambulation, even according to the view that ritual purity is not a condition for circumambulation. They say that a menstruating woman does not perform circumambulation because it would necessitate her remaining in the Sacred Mosque while menstruating, and this is not permissible. But this man is to be blamed: why did he not perform the full ritual bath throughout the day of 'Arafah? He might say, "I had no water." We say: if you have no water, perform dry ablution with clean earth until you find water. However, generally, and praise be to Allah, in recent years water has been available, so a person can perform the full ritual bath whenever he wishes.

The questioner : ... .

The Shaykh : Yes, if he did not pray, he should pray it. He should pray it when he performs the full ritual bath. And as I told you, it is not permissible to delay the prayer. He must perform the full ritual bath and pray. If he does not find water, let him perform dry ablution with clean earth and pray. Yes.
