Is the adhan prescribed for prayers other than the five daily prayers, such as the prayer of the two festivals?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : And an example of this is one of the well-known examples in the books of Islamic jurisprudence, and another example we will mention is what has occurred in our time. As for what is known in the books of Islamic jurisprudence and pointed out, it is that it is not prescribed for the reason I mentioned earlier, which is that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not adopt it, namely the adhan for prayers other than the five daily prayers. For example, the prayer of the two festivals: you all know that no adhan is called for it. If we were to judge by those minds that divided Islam into essence and shell, they would say that there is a benefit in it. The adhan on the day of the festival has a benefit because people are usually heedless of this time, especially those who rush to visit graves in the early morning, carrying green branches with them, claiming that this is a good thing, and as a result, many of them end up not performing the obligatory prayer of the festival. If there had been an adhan, they would have been reminded in the best way. So what was the position of the jurists regarding this adhan? All of them, praise be to Allah, agreed on something on which they rarely agree, which is that it is a religious innovation, and every religious innovation is misguidance, and every misguidance is in the Fire. The adhan was not prescribed in that first era, nor in the subsequent eras until today, praise be to Allah, due to the consensus of the jurists on its being an innovation. However, in that brightest first era, there was also nothing to take the place of the adhan, which is the word "Salah" (prayer). "Salah jami'ah" (prayer is a gathering) was also not in the era of the Messenger (peace be upon him).
