Is listening to the Friday sermon for women via the radio equivalent to the reward of those who attend the mosque, and does the prohibition for those who attend the mosque apply to the listener at home, such as not touching pebbles, not talking to the person next to them, and not causing a disturbance?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : The questioner asks: Is listening to the Friday sermon for women via the radio equivalent to the reward of those who attend the mosque? And does the prohibition for those who attend the mosque apply to the listener at home, such as not touching pebbles, not talking to the person next to them, and not causing a disturbance?

The Shaykh : It is better for a woman to listen to the Friday sermon while she is in her home than to attend the mosque, because her prayer in her home is better. In the hadith from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), he said:
Do not prevent the female servant your women from visiting the mosques of Allah. لا تمنعوا إماء الله مساجد الله، وبيوتهن خير لهن
Sunan Abi Dawud 566
And if she is in the house listening to the sermon, it appears that it is not obligatory for her to listen. If she listens and benefits, that is better. If she does not listen, there is no blame on her. It is permissible for her to turn off the radio, it is permissible for her to talk, and it is permissible for her to get up from her place, eat, and drink, with no blame.

The questioner : May Allah reward you with good.
