Is listening to sermons, lectures, seminars, and gatherings of dhikr from the radio a means of obtaining reward, as the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : A questioner says: Is listening to sermons and lectures...

The Shaykh : Is it?

The questioner : Is listening to sermons, lectures, seminars, and gatherings of dhikr from the radio a means of obtaining reward, as the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said?

The Shaykh : From where?

The questioner : From the radio.

The Shaykh : From the radio.

The questioner : Is it a means of obtaining reward, as the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
those persons who assemble in the house among the houses of Allah (mosques) and recite the Book of Allah and they learn and teach the Qur'an (among themselves) ما اجتمع قومٌ في بيت من بيوت الله يتلون كتاب الله ويتدارسونه بينهم
Sahih Muslim 2699a
to the end of the hadith? And is this specifically for women? And does a woman sin if she enters under the stairs of the mosque from the inside, or inside its enclosure, while she is menstruating, in order to listen to the sermons and lectures?

The Shaykh : As for the first question, there is no doubt that a person is rewarded for listening to the Qur'an from a recording or from the radio. He is also rewarded for listening to beneficial sermons, lectures, and seminars from the radio or from a recording.
And I say: Among the blessings of Allah (Mighty and Majestic) upon His servants is the existence of these recording devices that preserve what people say and convey it to the near and the far. They are among the blessings of Allah (Mighty and Majestic).
But it is not the same as the reward of those who are present and study the Qur'an among themselves. So, if we placed a recording device at the loudspeaker to call the adhan instead of the man who calls the adhan, would it be beneficial or not? It would not be beneficial, because this is a recording of the voice, a recording of the adhan, and not an adhan. And the second part?

The questioner : Does a woman sin if she enters under the stairs of the mosque?

The Shaykh : Yes. And as for a menstruating woman entering the mosque, it is not permissible except to pass through only. The mosque is everything enclosed by the wall, whether it is the stairs or the open area we call the courtyard. So it is not permissible for her to remain in it. And praise be to Allah, there is no need for it now, because she will hear from the tapes or from the loudspeaker in the minaret.
Yes. And we ask Allah the Exalted to grant us and you the ability to make the most of our times with righteous deeds, and to make our endings and outcomes good. Indeed, He is capable of all things. And glory be to You, O our Lord, and praise be to You. I bear witness that there is no deity but You. I seek Your forgiveness and I repent to You.
Yes, and I also add my voice to your voice, because this is an important lecture, its topic is very important, and it comes from Shaykh 'Abd al-'Aziz ibn 'Abdullah al-Shaykh, the Deputy Mufti of this Kingdom, may Allah (Mighty and Majestic) assist him and guide him to what is good.
