Why do we not find good dealings in Islamic countries compared to the lands of disbelief?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : ... Our presence in those countries I mentioned last week, he says: Where do you find the dividing line between the good dealings prescribed by Islam and the beginning of assimilation and deviation in European society?

The Shaykh : Where do you find it? We do not find good dealings today as they should be in Islamic countries, let alone in the lands of disbelief. I say this even though it is well-known among many people who have been afflicted by residing in the lands of disbelief that they find a type or types of dealings that are better in many of the dealings in some Islamic countries. But the truth is that this quality of goodness seen in those countries stems from many experiences the disbelievers have gone through, and they found that it is in their interest to be upright in their dealings. This uprightness in their dealings did not stem from their religion, but rather from experiences that led them to be upright in some dealings in buying and selling, taking and giving, and the like. And peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah. Otherwise, the matter is not as some people spread and believe, taking that rumor as a narrated hadith from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), which is their saying: "Religion is good dealings."
