The Shaykh's advice to the Algerian youth and the people of corrupt calls

The Shaykh : Therefore, I see that the students of knowledge among you must focus on knowledge, both learning and teaching, and that this must be accompanied by righteous action. The Messenger called us to beneficial knowledge and righteous action. Now, there is nothing of that except for shouts and cries filled with unbridled emotions that have no limits. I recall, on an occasion like this, a joke they tell there in Syria about a man who was enthusiastic, and perhaps he was a non-Arab like me, who knew nothing of Islam, but he was enthusiastic. He met a man from the Jews, and this Muslim was armed with a dagger. When he met that Jew, he grabbed him by the collar and raised the dagger, saying, "Convert to Islam or I will kill you." The Jew said, "No, no, get out of here. What should I say?" The Muslim said, "I do not know."

Another questioner : Ha ha ha

The Shaykh : I do not know. And now, suppose that any group, any political group, raised the banner of the Islamic state overnight, in one way or another. Who is able to apply these rulings? Who is able to change the disbelieving systems they were complaining about? We want an Islamic system. I have discussed this with many of these people, and they said, "We will cooperate." We said to them, "You have blocked the path of cooperation since you established a party that does not cooperate with other parties, and this is the reality of parties today. Therefore, it will not be possible, and even if this banner is raised, the outcome will be defeat. And this is worse than raising it and then lowering it. We ask Allah (Mighty and Majestic) to inspire us to follow the path of our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in establishing the rule of Allah (Mighty and Majestic) on earth. And that will never be achieved except by learning the Book and the Sunnah, following the methodology of the righteous predecessors, accompanied by proper upbringing.
