What is the interpretation of the verse: “The hand of Allah is above their hands”?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : ...
The hand of Allah is over their handsيد الله فوق أيديهم
[Al-Fath 48:10]
I mean, I want an interpretation of it.

The Shaykh : This does not need an interpretation. Have you ever heard the Salaf say: “Leave it as it came”? Have you heard this phrase or not?

The questioner : I listened to them.

The Shaykh : Yes, after hearing it, did you understand it?

The questioner : No, I did not understand.

The Shaykh : I did not understand. I mean: the verse or hadith concerning the attributes of Allah (Mighty and Majestic) is to be taken with its apparent meaning, without takyif (asking how an attribute is), without ta'til (denial of the divine attributes), without takyif which is likening Allah to creation, and without ta'wil (figurative interpretation) which is the brother of ta'til. And if you know that Allah (Mighty and Majestic), as 'Abdullah ibn al-Mubarak said, who was an imam or one of the imams of Imam Ahmad, the imam of the Sunnah: “Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He) is above His Throne with His Essence, distinct from His creation, and He is with them with His knowledge.” Do you memorize this essential phrase from Imam Ibn al-Mubarak, 'Abdullah ibn al-Mubarak? He says: “Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He) is above His Throne with His Essence, distinct from His creation, and He is with them with His knowledge.” Three sections that summarize the creed of tawhid (the oneness of Allah) regarding the exaltation of Allah (Mighty and Majestic) above His creation. So if you know that Allah (Mighty and Majestic) is above His Throne with His Essence, is His Throne not above His creations? If He is above His Throne and has the best attributes and the highest names, is His hand not above His creation?

The questioner : Yes.

The Shaykh : So what are you asking about?

The questioner : About the apparent meaning. You said, I mean...

The Shaykh : What did I present to you?

The questioner : The apparent meaning.

The Shaykh : The apparent meaning, but we want to know something about the situation in your country. What has Allah done to it?

The questioner : Of course, most of it is in the hands of the rebels, but the rebels are on a Crusader path, the ones who are fighting the battle. And last year, the Eritrean Jihad movement appeared, and now, if Allah wills, they have taken good steps on the path of the Afghan jihad.

The Shaykh : If Allah wills, and there is no power nor strength except with Allah.
