A man who deals in riba and works in trade and agriculture alongside it: do his heirs inherit his wealth, or what should they do with it?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : The first question: A man deals in riba and works in trade and agriculture alongside it. Do his heirs inherit his wealth, or what should they do with it? The answer: There is no doubt that they inherit his wealth, because if his wealth had not been mixed with the profits of trade, this wealth would become the inheritance of the heirs, and he would bear the loss while they gain the profit. How much more so when, in addition to this forbidden earnings, there is lawful earnings through trade? Therefore, this inheritance is lawful, and there is no issue with it. However, the deceased is, of course, accountable before Allah, because he acquired a portion of this wealth through riba, which is strictly forbidden. Is that clear? I think so. Let us move on to the second question.
