Eating from the wealth of a usurious father
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The fourth question of Fatwa No. ( 1644 )
Q4: Is it permissible for a son to eat from the wealth of his usurious father?
A4: Riba is forbidden by the Qur'an, the Sunnah, and scholarly consensus. If your father is a usurer, it is obligatory for you to advise him by explaining riba and its ruling, and what Allah has prepared for its people of punishment. It is not permissible for you to take from your father's wealth what you know
entered his possession through dealing in riba. You must seek provision from Allah (Mighty and Majestic), and exert the lawful means that Allah has established for seeking provision. Whoever fears Allah, He will make a way out for him and provide for him from where he does not expect. Whoever fears Allah, He will make his affairs easy. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
