The Shaykh’s remarks on the fact that the Hour will not come except upon the worst of creation, as stated in the hadith: “The Hour will not come while there is anyone on the face of the earth who says, ‘Allah.’”

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh :
That the Hour will not come until there is no one left on the face of the earth who says, “Allah.” أن الساعة لا تقوم حتى لا يبقى على وجه الأرض من يقول الله
The meaning of this is that no one who knows tawhid (the oneness of Allah) ... alongside the Sunnah will remain on the face of the earth. On this occasion, we mention that some people and some shaykhs misinterpret this hadith.
The Hour will not come while there is anyone on the face of the earth who says, “Allah.” لا تقوم الساعة و على وجه الأرض من يقول الله
It is not the meaning of the hadith that one who says “Allah, Allah” in dhikr (remembrance of Allah) in this manner will be seized by a state of madness. No, this has no basis in the Sunnah. Rather, the meaning of the hadith, as it came in an authentic narration from Imam Ahmad in al-Musnad, is:
The Hour will not come while there is on the face of the earth one who says there is no god but Allah لا تقوم الساعة و على وجه الأرض من يقول لا إله إلا الله
This makes it clear to you that the Hour will not come upon the monotheists. Even if the monotheists had no virtue except this one alone, it would suffice for them. That is, the earth will remain inhabited as long as there is one monotheist on it. Therefore, the Hour will not come except upon the polytheists, as he (peace be upon him) said:
The last hour will come only when people are wicked لا قوم الساعة إلا على شرار الخلق
Mishkat al-Masabih 5517
And the worst of creation are the disbelievers, and every disbeliever is a polytheist, as we have explained to you repeatedly and over and over again.
