The Shaykh : For some reason or for some wisdom, I forgot the lesson book in the library today. Then a path opened up before me as I was walking on the road, regarding a topic I have long pursued, which is not new to you. It is the question about a woman if she is hairy, or if she has grown a beard, as the question was phrased. I was walking on the road, so I answered with what I believe Allah to be, that it is not permissible for a woman, let alone a man, to touch her beard with harm. I had recently authenticated a Prophetic hadith and appended it to my book, the Chain of Authentic Hadiths. I had not dealt with it for a while, but it seems its meaning was firmly rooted in my mind, because I hum about it in many of the words I speak regarding this issue. I saw it beneficial for our brothers present now to hear this hadith, to recite its text to them, and then to direct my speech around it in two points. The first is what I mentioned earlier, and the second is an issue I have also spoken about more than once, which is the topic of lengthening the lower garment. In terms of the Prophetic expression and the old Arabic expression, what concerns us today is lengthening the trousers and lowering them to the ground and dragging them, considering that this is the fashion imported from the Western countries.
