What is your opinion of this crazy, unknown reformer and the brothers who debate with him?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : What is your opinion of the crazy reformer? And what is your opinion of the brothers who debate with this reformer?

The Shaykh : The truth is that I had intended to meet him before I knew the reality of his case, because we believe that it is our duty to advise every Muslim who testifies that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah. So I made an appointment with one of the teaching doctors at the Islamic University to set a time to meet this person. However, I was given the opportunity to look at a treatise he claimed to have written, which he typed, and praise be to Allah, he has not yet published it. When I looked at it, I found in it very strange acts of disbelief. Therefore, after I read this treatise and recorded more than ten acts of disbelief, each of which is sufficient to take him out of the fold of Islam—unless he is one of those about whom it is said, "When Allah takes what He has given, He drops what He has made obligatory"—when I came upon these acts of disbelief, I said: This man is one of two things: either he is the Dajjal or he is crazy, and the best of the two is bitter. So I called the brother with whom I had agreed to go to him and explained to him this reality I had found regarding these major acts of disbelief, and that there is no benefit in meeting him. Accordingly, I do not advise anyone to meet him, because first: it involves publicizing him, even if indirectly, and gathering people around him. Second: there is no benefit, because if he is crazy, the pen has been lifted from him, and if he is the Dajjal, it is even further from the possibility that he intends guidance.
Among the claims of this man is that he says: "I am a reformer." And whoever reads his treatise will see that he does not understand anything of the Qur'an and the Sunnah. I do not mean the authentic Sunnah; I mean the Sunnah in its entirety. Yes, indeed. Then he is like an uneducated person who raises the nominative case and breaks the [genitive case].

Another questioner : ... .

The Shaykh : Yes, this is how it is... He claims to be a reformer, so we said to him: This claim alone is sufficient... by one of the two positions: either the pen is lifted from him, or he is the Dajjal. Reform does not happen at the beginning of the century; it happens at the head of the century. So this man came at the beginning of this century... and yet he claims to be a reformer. So the man, may Allah guide him.
Yes.
