Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : It is reported from Umm Salama that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Any woman who takes off her clothes in other than her house, Allah will tear off her veil أيّما امرأة نزعت ثيابها في غير بيتها خرق الله عنها سترها
Al-Mustadrak lil-Hakim 39:103
We seek clarification of the meaning of this hadith?

The Shaykh : This hadith is related to the previous discussion, meaning that if a woman visits another woman in her house, even if no men are present, it is not permissible for her to expose the places of her adornment except to the extent permitted by the Shari'ah. However, if there are men present, she must remain in the hijab she wears when walking in the streets. This is the meaning of this threat and warning.
Any woman who takes off her clothes anywhere but in her husband's house أيما امرأة وضعت ثيابها في غير بيت أبيها أو زوجها
Sunan Ibn Majah 3750Hasan (Darussalam)
There are several narrations
She has torn off the veil between her and her Lord فقد هتكت الستر الذي بينها و بين ربها
and its meaning, in brief, is that she does not expose her 'awrah (part of the body that must be covered) before a Muslim woman. We have established that her entire body is 'awrah except for the places of adornment, which are known locations, and they have become known to you, if Allah wills.
