The Shaykh’s discussion of the second principle.

The Shaykh : What I wish to discuss is the second principle and the second rule, which is singling out the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) for following and taking as a model. We all know, as I mentioned earlier, that the faith of a Muslim is not complete except by believing that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah. If a person on earth testifies to the oneness of Allah (Mighty and Majestic) with its three meanings, he is not a believer unless he adds to that his belief that Muhammad is His slave and His Messenger. Since this is the case, as I mentioned earlier, every Muslim should learn the meaning of the good word , and after learning it and becoming acquainted with the reality of its meaning, he has two obligations: first, to believe in it, and second, to implement it in himself, in his worship, and in his creed regarding Allah. As I indicated earlier, you are, if Allah wills, in no need to delve into the details of that.
