The Shaykh : The reason that prompts the study of beneficial knowledge, the Islamic legal knowledge upon which the argument against the Muslim is established, is what we hear from time to time: fatwas issued by some who are presumed to be among the people of knowledge. In most cases, these fatwas contradict the practice of the previous Imams from the righteous Salaf and the Imams who exercised independent legal reasoning. The closest example that occurred to me just now is a question I was asked in the past, in one of the previous sessions.
