Clarification that congregation is a pillar of the Friday prayer.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh: Thus, we can deduce from the indication of the two hadiths that congregational prayer is obligatory, and the Friday prayer is likewise. However, the obligation of congregation in the Friday prayer is stronger than the obligation of congregational prayer in general; this is because congregation in the Friday prayer is a pillar of the prayer, and the prayer is not valid without it. If a person prays the Friday prayer alone, two rak'ahs, his prayer is invalid. But if he prays the midday prayer, for example, alone without a valid legal excuse for leaving the congregation, his prayer is valid, but he is sinful for leaving the congregation in that prayer.
Once we know this; that is, once we know the importance of congregational prayer in Islam, there is no doubt that this means it is obligatory for the Muslim to strive with the utmost effort to perform every prayer of the five daily prayers with the congregation, as a binding obligation that is necessary, except for an excuse.
