Is it permissible for visitors to the Prophet’s City to visit the grave of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) after every prayer?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : ... .

The Shaykh : Yes, excuse me, you mentioned those who travel to the city, and then you went on to mention the people of the city, is that so?

The questioner : ... .

The Shaykh : Fine, fine, fine, yes, fine. If you mean what you are saying, that one does this after every prayer, we say no. But it is permissible to do it occasionally, and so it is for the people of the city. It is not permissible for them to go back and forth after every prayer as is the case today, because in doing so they make his grave (peace be upon him) a festival. There are authentic hadiths prohibiting the making of his grave a festival. But whoever does it occasionally, whether he is a resident of the city or a visitor to it, he does it occasionally and does not repeat it; it is not a constant habit. If he returns from a journey, he comes to the grave of the Messenger (peace be upon him) and sends greetings to him, to Abu Bakr, and to his father. As for making that his constant practice as the innovators do in this time, may he be far from such a thing.
