Is it permissible for the pilgrim to go to his house in Makkah to rest for a while, then return to Mina before sunset?

The Shaykh : We see nothing to prevent that. Even if it were established that the Messenger (peace be upon him) used to leave Mina and pray the midday prayer in Makkah, the original ruling for this departure is permissibility, as long as he stays overnight in Mina, as stated in the question.
