There is a modern method that enables a woman to give birth, and it is as follows

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : There is a modern method that enables a woman to give birth, and it is as follows: the egg in the woman is fertilized by the sperm outside the womb, and then the egg is placed in the womb. This method is called artificial insemination. Is this permissible?

The Shaykh : It is not permissible, because it is conceivable that something foreign to the woman has entered her womb.

The questioner : If this man is the woman's husband...?

The Shaykh : ...We ask now, why is this done? Why is this done? And secondly, is not the extraction of the egg from the woman's womb an exposure that leads to looking at her 'awrah (part of the body that must be covered)? Is there another way?

The questioner : There are scientific means!

The Shaykh : ...What you want is not permissible because of the exposure of the woman to any strange man, even if it is a woman, regarding her 'awrah (part of the body that must be covered)! ...We told you the reason, you did not answer!
The questioner: Why, meaning, does this method place it in her...

The questioner : In her device... meaning, she remains barren, but by this means, it makes the woman give birth!

The Shaykh : This is a dire necessity!

The questioner : The dire necessity of having children, and this is common!

The Shaykh : I am asking you without details.

The questioner : ...A dire necessity, I want children and I do not have them, I want children?

The Shaykh : Ah, a dire necessity... The dire necessity is like the one who eats pork. When does one eat pork? Is the dire necessity... longing to eat pork? He is longing to see a child of his.

The questioner : ...The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
a cure for every disease, so treat yourselves medically لكل داء دواء فتداووا عباد الله
Sunan Abi Dawud 3874Da'if (Al-Albani)
, ...This man has an issue, so we need to treat it so that the illness goes away.

The Shaykh : By the lawful and the forbidden?

The questioner : By the lawful.

The Shaykh : Okay, then it is not permissible, this is if you proceed by the lawful!

The questioner : O Shaykh, it leads to mental illness!

The Shaykh : ...Treat it by the lawful... And exposing the 'awrah (part of the body that must be covered), is it lawful or forbidden... Give an answer, lawful or forbidden?

The questioner : Lawful if she is compelled to it... mental illness... if there is a possibility of children...

The Shaykh : ...Hair grew on her eyebrow, on her arm, on her chin, and it is permissible to remove it. I said no. He said, this will cause her mental illness. I told him, this will cause her mental illness because the illness exists in her before these hairs appear, which are not of her making but are created by her Lord. Rather, she believes in Allah as He said:
And your Lord creates what He wills and chooses; not for them was the choice. Exalted is Allah and high above what they associate with Him.
[Al-Qasas 28:68]
, so she may be a believer. If she is a believer, then regarding her mental illness, it can be said to her: you have no choice, thus your Lord willed it. ...It is like a woman who wants to become a man: why can I not be like a man? What is this humiliation? What is this disgrace? Why? Why? ...And she changes herself from one gender to another because it will cause her a psychological complex.
