A question from some inquirers regarding the ruling on the division that has occurred among students of knowledge, let alone among the general Muslim public.

The questioner : In truth, I see that this concerns most of the brothers who are engaged with great interest in the matter of calling people to Allah (Mighty and Majestic). We want you to speak to us about this issue in a way that, if Allah wills, will ensure the unity of the Muslims and guide them on the path that preserves their honor and dignity, if Allah wills, in this calling. Especially since we believe in ourselves that we adhere to the best methodologies on this earth. Between calling people to the straight religion and the straight path of Allah, we often find great gaps between us, a lack of understanding of one another, a lack of appreciation for one another, or a lack of reverence for the ideas of our brothers, and so on. These things cause much distress in the hearts of some of us toward others, which distances these brothers from one another and causes some of them, at times, to criticize or distance themselves from others. This is a path that distances the brothers from one another and distances the call, giving a dark image of this world that we wish to lead out of misguidance into light. It gives a gloomy image that the Islam we are calling to is not suitable to be a way of life, because it looks at our failure in our reality and in our living together. Perhaps it accuses the very principle to which we are calling people. So I ask you to clarify for us in this area and this issue something that, if Allah wills, will make us see the straight path and the truth so that we may follow it, if Allah wills?

The Shaykh : It would help me in achieving what I requested if you would give me some examples, without naming individuals, of course. Some models, I mean, of what you are referring to. Because I share with you what you are saying, but I want detail. We are, in truth, callers to a scientific methodology.
