Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : He says in the last of this questioner's questions: What is your opinion regarding the statement of those who say that the number of rak'ahs of prayer on Friday is twenty, including two rak'ahs as the greeting of wudu, two rak'ahs for entering the mosque, four rak'ahs before Friday prayer, four rak'ahs after Friday prayer, and four rak'ahs as the sunnah of the time, or as they call it?

The Shaykh : All of this has no basis, but each one individually is valid. Wudu has its sunnah, entering the mosque has its sunnah, and prayer after Friday prayer is also a sunnah. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
When any one of you observes the Jumu'a prayer (two obligatory rak'ahs in congregation), he should observe four (rak'ahs) afterwards. إذا صلى أحدكم الجمعة فليصل بعدها أربعا
Sahih Muslim 881a
This is what we know. However, prayer before Friday prayer is not limited to a specific number; a person may pray as much as he wishes, even if he comes in the first hour and prays fifty rak'ahs or more or less, there is no harm. Yes.
