What is the ruling on a woman uncovering her head in front of Christian women?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner: Uncovering the head of a woman and her clothing, and likewise in front of Christian women?

The Shaykh : It is not permissible.

The questioner : It is not permissible.

Another questioner: Is her ruling like that of a man, O Shaykh?

The Shaykh: A non-Muslim woman is like a man in the presence of a Muslim woman; just as it is not permissible for a Muslim woman to expose any part of her body in front of Muslim men except her face and hands, so the ruling is the same in front of a disbelieving woman. This is derived from the saying of Allah, the Exalted:
not expose their adornment except to their husbands, their fathers وَلَا يُبْدِينَ زِينَتَهُنَّ إِلَّا لِبُعُولَتِهِنَّ أَوْ آبَائِهِنَّ
[An-Nur 24:31]
until He, the Exalted, said:
Or their women أَوْ نِسَائِهِنَّ
; meaning the Muslim women, so it is not permissible to expose her adornment to a non-Muslim woman.
Yes.

The questioner: Here, the specification came; meaning by the text of the verse.

The Shaykh : It would be.

The questioner: So, does the text of the verse include not greeting?

The Shaykh: No.

The questioner: ... meaning we allowed her to greet.
...

The Shaykh: And we seek refuge in Allah from the evils of our souls and the badness of our deeds. Whom Allah guides, there is no one who can misguide him, and whom He causes to go astray, there is no one who can guide him. And I bear witness that there is no deity but Allah alone, with no partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and His Messenger.
There is no doubt that each of our brothers present has accumulated many questions that concern him in his religion, whether related to creed or to legal rulings. Based on a previous session in which we clarified that one of the methods of learning is the principle of question and answer, and we mentioned there that this method may be more beneficial for many people when they are given the opportunity to meet with a person who may have some knowledge from which they can benefit. Therefore, as we said there, in order to maintain order and avoid chaos and confusion as much as possible, we say that if any one of you has not yet prepared or formulated any of the questions that he and the other attendees would benefit from, he should prepare himself while waiting for his turn. The turn may come to him, and he may direct the question he has brought to mind, either previously or later. And ... it is from the Sunnah that he (peace and blessings be upon him) loved to favor the right in everything. So I say: let us start with the person on my right. This is, of course, not binding on the person who is started with to ask if he does not have a question ready; in that case, the turn passes to the next person, and so on. Please, if you have something.
