. . . Now we enter into answering your question. Khomeini is undoubtedly a great jurist among the jurists of the Shi'ah.

The Shaykh: ... Now we enter into answering your question.
Khomeini is undoubtedly a great jurist among the jurists of the Shi'ah, and the Shi'ah differ from the people of the Sunnah and the community in many of the rulings of Islamic sacred law, and even in the correct Islamic beliefs. Our proof for this is sufficient if we look at a book of his that he titled "The Islamic Government." Whoever reads this book will realize that it is a book of propaganda, a book of Shi'ite politics, which he printed in thousands of copies and the editions were repeated because it is distributed for free throughout the entire Muslim world in the cause of propaganda for this so-called Islamic government that Khomeini established. And yet—meaning: despite the fact that the book is a book of propaganda, and it is expected that every propagandist, when he does not want to reveal the veil of his belief, because he knows that if he did, the call to which he is calling people through his book or his pamphlet would not benefit; this is the method of all propaganda—yet this small booklet of his was not free from some beliefs that are sufficient for the Muslim who wants to be on clear understanding of his religion to understand that Khomeini's belief is far, far removed from the Islam that came in the Qur'an and in the authentic, established hadiths of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). For example, he mentioned that the Imams of the Household of the Prophet are in a position with Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He) that the position of the angels, prophets, and messengers does not reach. The Imams of the Household of the Prophet, according to this so-called Imam, have a virtue above the virtue of the angels, messengers, and prophets all together. This is a denial of the Qur'an and the Sunnah.
Those messengers - some of them We caused to exceed others. تِلْكَ الرُّسُلُ فَضَّلْنَا بَعْضَهُمْ عَلَى بَعْضٍ
[Al-Baqarah 2:253]
We did not prefer the Imams of the Household of the Prophet. And the Messenger says in the authentic hadith:
I am the master of Adam and I do not boast أنا سيِّد آدم ولا فخر
Adam, and whoever is below him is under his banner on the Day of Resurrection. So there is no doubt that the truthful Imams of the Household of the Prophet, naturally those who are sincere among them, are under the banner of the Messenger (peace be upon him). So how can this man say in a propaganda book that the position of the Imams of the Household of the Prophet with Allah is a position that the position of all created beings, including the angels, prophets, and messengers, does not reach?!
He also mentioned in this booklet that the Imams of the Household of the Prophet know every atom that moves in this universe. This is a shock to definitive texts from the Noble Qur'an, because no one knows the unseen except Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He). I believe that such beliefs, which contradict the clear text of the Book and the Sunnah, mean that he is undoubtedly not on the guidance of his Lord (Blessed and Exalted is He). Therefore, it is ignorance and stupidity that many Islamic callers rushed to Khomeini when he announced that he was establishing an Islamic state, and perhaps some of them pledged allegiance to him. This is because they do not know what is in the books of the Shi'ah regarding declaring the Imams, the Salaf, and the great Companions as disbelievers. If you go back to their books, you will not find among the thousands of Companions whom Allah was pleased with and who were pleased with Him; you will not find among the Shi'ah, even with exaggeration, one hundred Companions among the thousands whom they are pleased with. Therefore, we believe that it is not possible for the Sunni Muslim who knows his belief and his true Shari'ah to meet with the Shi'ite Muslim, due to the intensity of the difference between the two directions.
After this, and the research undoubtedly bears a great length, we answer: With whom is the truth? We say it is not with either party in any way; because neither party is fighting in the path of Allah. And we believe that if the Shi'ah were to win over Iraq, it would be the turn of a country other than Iraq, and thus the Shi'ite school of jurisprudence might spread until it encompasses all the Islamic lands. Therefore, we, at the time when we are not pleased that the Shi'ah win over Iraq, are not with the Iraqi Ba'athist school of jurisprudence that the state adopts. But here are two sides that must be distinguished, and many of those whose words we have heard in this field, on one occasion or another, do not pay attention to this difference. There is fighting between a people and a people, the Iranian people and the Iraqi people. But there is a very big difference between the Iranian government and the Iraqi government, or more correctly, there is a difference between the Iranian people and the Iraqi people. The Iraqi people are not their government; the Iraqi people are Muslim, not Ba'athist. As for the Iraqi government, it is Ba'athist, unfortunately. As for the Iranian people, they are all Shi'ite, and at their head is a Shi'ite government. Therefore, this essential difference between the two peoples makes us not wish for the scale of the Iranians to be heavier than that of the Iraqis; because here the advantage has become that of a Shi'ite people over a Sunni people, and here lies the danger. As for the fact that the Iraqi government is Ba'athist, this is truly something that causes us regret, but it is not certain that this rule will remain established in Iraq and persist as long as the Muslim Iraqi people remain; this is not conceivable; because the matter is as He said (the Exalted):
And these days [of varying conditions] We alternate among the people وَتِلْكَ الْأَيَّامُ نُدَاوِلُهَا بَيْنَ النَّاسِ
[Ali 'Imran 3:140]
.
As for the Shi'ah, nearly thirteen centuries have passed for them, and with every century that passes, they deepen their fanaticism for the Shi'ite school of jurisprudence and their refusal to deviate from it by a hair's breadth. Rather, as time passes, they increase in distance from the Book and the Sunnah and in hostility toward the people of the Sunnah. Therefore, we do not say the truth is with these or with those; because neither party is fighting in the path of Allah. And this is in reality a matter that reminds us of the fighting that was in the time of the Messenger (peace be upon him) between the Persians and the Romans. Neither party was fighting in the path of Allah. But—on the basis of what is said: "Some evil is less than some"—the Muslims at that time had their sympathy with the Christians, with the Romans, over the Persians; because the Persians were polytheists and the Romans were Christians. And in that, His saying (the Exalted) was revealed:
(1) Alif, Lam, Meem. (2) The Byzantines have been defeated الم * غُلِبَتِ الرُّومُ
[Ar-Rum 30:1-2]
But they, after their defeat, will overcome. وَهُمْ مِنْ بَعْدِ غَلَبِهِمْ سَيَغْلِبُونَ
[Ar-Rum 30:3]
.

Within three to nine years فِي بِضْعِ سِنِينَ
[Ar-Rum 30:4]
.

The Shaykh: Yes. As for now, we see that we should only wish that the scale be for the Sunni Iraqi people over the Shi'ite Iranian people. As for the state, the state, we naturally do not see it because it is Ba'athist. And may Allah (Mighty and Majestic) guide them, even after bitter experiences, to return to Allah, to the Book of Allah, and to the hadith of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family).
Please proceed.

The questioner : May Allah reward you with good.

Another questioner: In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate. Praise be to Allah, and blessings and peace be upon the Messenger of Allah.
My honorable teacher, first: my supplication to Allah for the Master (Mighty and Majestic) to make all your steps correct, and to make your efforts successful in good.

The Shaykh : May Allah bless you.

Another questioner: As for my question, it is: Is what we are upon now, as youth, if it is permissible for us to say committed, performing the prayer and fasting and ... and reading the Qur'an and performing Hajj.
