A word to the honorable owner of the farm who hosted the Shaykh for this talk on the importance of observing the rights of Allah and the rights of people in the wealth that Allah bestows

The questioner : We follow up with a simple word... My brothers, may Allah reward you all with good... Praise be to Allah; we praise Him, seek His help, seek His forgiveness, and we seek refuge in Allah from the evils of our own selves and from our bad deeds. Whom Allah guides, no one can mislead, and whom He leaves to mislead, no one can guide. And I bear witness that there is no deity but Allah alone, with no partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and His Messenger. As for what follows, the best of speech is the speech of Allah, the best of guidance is the guidance of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), and the worst of matters are their innovations, and every innovation is a religious innovation, and every religious innovation is misguidance. And then, my brothers, by Allah, how much I was pleased with this pleasant gathering. I did not expect this attendance, because I had agreed with my brother, Dr. Taysir, that we would hold a wedding feast because of this blessing that Allah has bestowed upon me at this time. So I said to him, "Let us slaughter a sheep and feed those you know, my brother." He said to me, "There are, if Allah wills, one or two sheep being slaughtered." So I knew that other individuals had learned about this sheep and followed. Then he said to me, "Do you see any objection to the attendance increasing?" I said to him, "Slaughter ten sheep for them. If the people will attend and eat these sheep, take a thousand dinars for me." I did not say that; I really wanted to draw attention. Our honorable Shaykh, may Allah have mercy on him with a wide mercy, Abu Yusuf, taught us the great generosity of the Sunnah and he would read us hadiths. And a hadith passed me by in which the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said So he would encourage us to give.
The Shaykh : May Allah reward him with good... Yes.
The questioner : Yes,
The Shaykh : Yes
The questioner : And giving, especially when wealth increases and begins to flow from every direction, and this drowns one. So another hadith passed me by from our brother, Shaykh Abu Yusuf, because... it is obligatory for him always, when he sees wealth bursting forth, and this is from Allah, not from intelligence, to scatter it like this and like this and like this in all directions, and to scatter it in good. And so I said, "Let us do an experiment," because I was poor and destitute, and by Allah, I could not, as a boy in Qalqilya, buy a single date.
The Shaykh : What Allah willed, praise be to Allah.
The questioner : And when Allah made me successful in my studies, by His grace, and I went and studied, and before I entered the university, I said, "O Lord, I am poor. This study, if Allah wills, I will have a share in it for the people of Islam, if Allah wills, and by Allah, I was ignorant." And Allah gave me, through this engineering study, a great deal and great secrets in mechanical engineering. And Allah has blessed me now in my study and in my work for twenty years. So I saw that I should choose, if Allah wills, my land, as I approached rest, and if I sit and rest, if Allah wills. So I saw that I should buy a garden, and I said, "I will buy it near the people of my town here in al-Majdal. We have friends there, if Allah wills, who are good." I bought it, and praise be to Allah, it had a good share. This garden, I bought it, and it was rocks and thorns.
The Shaykh : So it is not a garden.
The questioner : A mountain.
The Shaykh : You will make it, if Allah wills, a place of abundance.
The questioner : So I saw, after we invested in it and plowed it, that it was extremely suitable, which was contrary to my expectations.
The Shaykh : Barren.
The questioner : Yes, barren. And we intended, if Allah wills, that we would plant it and tree it. And every work you want, my brother, my personal experience, advice to my brothers in Allah the Exalted: everything you want to plant for yourself, fertilize it. Trees need fertilizer. What is the secret in success? The trees, so that they grow more, and the success in the works I have gone through is that I do not do a good work except that I attach to it something for people, for Muslims, and for the righteous. The point is, therefore, if you strive to adhere to this rule, you must always set aside something of your work for Allah and His Messenger and for the believers.
The Shaykh : May Allah reward you with good.
The questioner : And do not forget this matter, so that Allah the Exalted may bless this work. And you know better than I, and are more knowledgeable than I, my Shaykhs, through them Allah, then our Salafi brothers, are those through whom I was guided. So you know the hadith, how the clouds and rain passed over the garden, and a caller was heard calling, "Let the rain descend in so-and-so's garden." So he found the secret. In brief, after he asked the owner of this garden, he said, "I eat one-third, and I put one-third in the ground, and the other third I give in charity." And if we walk on this path and walk on the topic that we honor ourselves and love each other, and these are matters that nurture hearts together, they become good and tender. And this is better than much of focusing on your mind and neglecting your heart. Many people focus on the mind, but their heart is not in training. And it means, this practice is necessary.
The Shaykh : What Allah willed.
The questioner : So, if Allah wills, based on the Shaykh's good opinion of this, and by Allah, I brought a map with him, a design for the top, at the peak, if Allah wills, a house of two hundred and fifty square meters. Below it, a diwan, which I will furnish and place in it an expensive and valuable library, if Allah wills, where we will gather the hadith. And it will be a place of visitation and recreation for the people of Islam. And we do not want anything except for Allah the Exalted. May Allah bless you.
Another questioner: The Shaykh's good opinion of you is well-placed.
Another questioner: May Allah reward you with good, our Shaykh.
Another questioner: A question, O Shaykh.
The Shaykh : Please proceed.
Another questioner: If you please.
The Shaykh : Please proceed.
The first of this nation was saved by certainty and asceticism, and the last of it will be destroyed by stinginess and hope.
