The Shaykh Al-Albani’s advice to students of knowledge to increase in knowledge and act upon what they have learned.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : As for what follows, my advice to every Muslim on the face of the earth, and especially to our brothers who share with us the affiliation to the blessed call of the Book and the Sunnah, upon the methodology of the righteous Salaf, is that I advise them and myself to fear Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He) first, and then to increase in beneficial knowledge, as the Exalted said:
And fear Allah. And Allah teaches you وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَيُعَلِّمُكُمُ اللَّهُ
[Al-Baqarah 2:282]
And that they combine their sound knowledge—which, for all of us, does not go beyond being the Book and the Sunnah upon the methodology of the righteous Salaf—with the practice of this knowledge, and the increase in it, as much as they are able to do so, so that it does not become a proof against them, but rather a proof for them.
(88) The Day when there will not benefit [anyone] wealth or children (89) But only one who comes to Allah with a sound heart." يَوْمَ لَا يَنْفَعُ مَالٌ وَلَا بَنُونَ * إِلَّا مَنْ أَتَى اللَّهَ بِقَلْبٍ سَلِيمٍ
[Ash-Shu'ara 26:88-89]
